GLFP 8期生の修了式を開催しました。/ Commencement of the GLFP 8th Cohort was conducted.

2023年3月24日（金）、GLFP 8期生修了式を行いました。
会場には昨年9月に既に卒業した1名と、この3月に卒業を迎えた4名の計5名の8期生と、その他のCohortsが集まり、修了式では、リー留学センター所長、GLFP担当教員からお言葉をいただき、その後修了証授与を行いました。
On Friday, March 24th of 2023, we held a commencement ceremony for the GLFP 8th cohort.
At the venue, five the GLFP 8th cohort (one students who had already graduated in September 2022 and four students who were graduating this March) and other cohorts gathered for the graduation ceremony, where the Prof. Rhee, Dean of the Center for International Education and faculty of GLFP forum and seminars delivered congratulatory remarks to the students, followed by the awarding of certificates.
修了生からの挨拶では、コロナ禍により米国協定校への留学ができないなど当初思い描いていたような活動ができない中でも前向きにGLFPというプログラムに取り組み続けたことや、大切な仲間たちと支えながら過ごした日々のこと、これからの新生活に向けた抱負が述べられ、それぞれのメンバーが様々な思いを抱きながらGLFP生として過ごしたことがひしひしと伝わるものでした。
In the remarks from graduating students, he/she spoke enthusiastically about their continued positive commitment to the GLFP program despite the fact that they were unable to study abroad at partner universities in the U.S. contrary to the original blueprint due to circumstances such as Covid-19, and the days spent with the support of their precious friends, as well as their aspirations for the new lives. We could keenly feel that each member had experienced as a GLFP cohort with a variety of thoughts and feelings, and could almost see the struggle in our mind's eye.
特別な状況下で共に過ごした仲間たちと非常に強い関係性を築くことができた8期生。今後もその強い絆を大切にそれぞれの進路先で活躍することを祈っています。
The GLFP 8th students were able to build very strong relationship with the peers because they shared time under extraordinary circumstances of the COVID19 Pandemic. We hope that they will continue to cherish the strong bond of the tight-knit cohort and play an active role in their respective career paths.
