During Study Abroad海外留学
2年次の秋から1年間、米国パートナー大学のいずれかに留学し、アジアや西洋双方に関する 幅広い知識を身につけるとともに、早稲田での主専攻に関連した科目を履修します。 またボランティアやインターンシップなどの課外活動にも積極的に参加することで、異文化コミュニケーション能力やリーダーシップスキルを高めます。
For one year beginning in the fall term of the second year, students will go abroad to study at one of the U.S. partner universities to acquire a wide range of knowledge about both Asia and the West as well as to pursue a field of study relevant to their major at Waseda University. We also encourage students to actively participate in extracurricular activities, such as volunteer work, while studying abroad. Through their studies and experience, students will enhance their cross-cultural communication and leadership skills.
Courses Available While Studying Abroad留学中に履修可能な科目
当プログラムに参加する米国パートナー大学はいずれも世界トップレベルの大学であり、世界各地から卓越した学者・学識者や学生が集結しています。 そうした環境で切磋琢磨しながら学ぶことは知力や潜在能力を飛躍的に伸ばすとともに、 国際的なコミュニケーション能力を高める絶好の機会となるはずです。
留学先では、留学先の大学が定める要件の下、早稲田大学での主専攻に関連した科目など自由に科目を履修することが可能です。 フェローズに選ばれた学生は「交換留学生」として米国大学に派遣されるため、留学先の大学が定める履修要件（留学生に開講されている科目／開講されていない科目等） に沿って科目を選択することになります。各大学における履修要件の詳細は各協定校の Program Overview をご確認ください。
- *留学中に履修し、現地で修得した科目は、本学に復学した後に、所属の学部で所定の手続を行い、本学の単位として認定されます。 手続の詳細や単位認定の基準は、それぞれの学部によって異なりますので、留学に出発する前に必ず学部事務所に確認してください。
The participating universities in the U.S. are all recognized as world-class universities where outstanding scholars and students from all over the world gather. Studying in such an environment will dramatically improve the intellectual ability, potential and international communication skills of each fellow.
At the study abroad destination, students can take courses freely along with the courses relevant to their major at Waseda University under the requirements each U.S. University set. Students who have been selected as Fellows will be taking courses along with the course requirement of each U.S. University (courses open/ not open to exchange student, etc.), as they will be sent to U.S. universities as an “exchange student.” Please check Program Overview for more details on course requirement of each University.
- *Courses taken and completed at the U.S. university during the study abroad period will be recognized as valid credits at Waseda University if the prescribed procedures of the relevant departments are taken. We suggest that students confirm the procedures and details of the credit recognition criteria in their department prior to their departure for study abroad, as each department has different criteria.
